The Silas Bronson Library is located in Waterbury, Connecticut, a city of approximately 107,000 people.  Our Genealogy and Local History collection encompasses a wide range of materials in print, microfilm, and electronic formats.

Obituary Look-up:

When sending us your request for an obituary, please include the deceased's name, date of death, and town in which he or she resided at the time of death.  You may also send us your request via email:  dlucisano@waterburyct.org. 
If you do not know the person's date of death, here are a few sources to try:

Social Security Death Index	Generally only helpful if the death occurred after 1962.
Obits Archive	An online archive - includes obituaries that were published in the Waterbury daily newspaper.
Vital Records Section State Dept. of Public Health P.O. Box 340308, 410 Capitol Av. Hartford, CT 06134-0308 Telephone: (860) 509-7700	If death occurred after July 1, 1897.
