Museum Passes

The Silas Bronson Library offers free or reduced-price admission to both local, statewide and regional cultural organizations and attractions through its Museum Pass program. Museum pass sites include museums, science centers, aquariums, zoos and much more!

What do I need to get a museum pass?

You must have an active library card to borrow or print museum passes, and you must be 18 or older.
If you do not have a library card, please request one here or give us a call at 203-574-8205 to get started.
If you are not sure if your card is active, please call us at 203-574-8205.

How do I get a museum pass?

To reserve or print your pass, click here to visit our TixKeeper site. Search for the museum you want to visit, or select a specific day to see what is available on that day.

There are two types of museum passes, depending on the museum:

Print From Home
Most passes can be printed directly from your computer at home or at the library. Look for "Print from Home" when reserving your pass.

Pick Up/Return at Library
These passes can't be printed; they are physical passes which must be borrowed from the library. This type of pass must be picked up at the library after 3 p.m. the day before it will be used, and returned to the library by 12 p.m. the day after it will be used.

We recommend checking with the museum before printing or reserving the pass to confirm their current hours of operation and timed ticketing reservations.

Passes are marked closed for the days when the museums are closed.

How long are the passes good for?

Passes are valid only for the date you selected; the date is listed on the confirmation page.

What if I am unable to use my museum pass?

If you are not able to use your museum pass, please cancel the reservation. This allows others to use the pass on the day you had it reserved.  To cancel the reservation, please call 203-574-8225 to speak with a librarian.
