Doing research on your family history? If your ancestor was a Waterbury resident, here are some likely sources: Births, Marriages, Civil Unions, Deaths, and Fetal Deaths (Waterbury) City of Waterbury, Office of Vital Statistics Connecticut State Office of Vital Records

If the person became a U.S. citizen during October, 1991 or after, contact the federal Bureau of Customs and Immigration Services. Other than New Haven County Where to write for Vital Records - published by the National Center for Health Statistics.

Obituary Look-up:
When sending us your request for an obituary, please include the deceased's name, date of death, and town in which he or she resided at the time of death. You may also send us your request via email: dlucisano@waterburyct.org

If you do not know the person's date of death, here are a few sources to try:
Social Security Death Index:  ( only helpful if the death occurred after 1962.)
Obits Archive: An online archive (includes obituaries that were published in the Waterbury daily newspaper)
